Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941, the child of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. When he was 13 years old, Richard moved his family from Nebraska to Casper where his dad was the director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture local district for soil conservation.
